My Experience
Cambodia is a country of contrasts—ancient temples and modern resilience, sobering history and joyful present. Visiting Angkor Wat at sunrise was a bucket-list moment that exceeded every expectation.
Beyond the temples, I fell in love with the spirit of the Cambodian people. Despite a painful history, there is so much warmth, generosity, and hope here. The country is rebuilding beautifully.
Siem Reap served as my base for exploring the temples, but I also found time to discover its vibrant food scene, night markets, and surrounding countryside.
